Admissions Arrangements – Applying for a School Place

RECEPTION 2024/2025 ADMISSIONS

The Year R Admissions round for the September 2024 intake will soon open.
Applications are to be completed online via your local council website (Hampshire County Council, Surrey County Council etc) website and this service becomes available from Wednesday, 1st November 2023. The application deadline is Monday, 15th January 2024 at midnight.
In addition, St. Joseph’s requires a Supplementary Information Form to be completed. This form will be available to download from the St Joseph’s school website from Wednesday, 1st November 2023.  Should you prefer, you can collect a paper copy from the School Reception on Wednesday, 1st November 2024. These Supplementary Information Forms are to be completed and returned to the School Office by Monday, 22nd January 2024.  (Please note that we will require ORIGINAL copies of all your supporting documentation).

IN YEAR TRANSFERS

In order to make an In Year Transfer application, you will need to do this via your local County Council website.  In addition to the online application, you will also need to complete and return the Supplemenatary Form below.

SCHOOL TOURS

We hold school tours on Monday's and Friday's at 11am.  Should you wish to take a tour of the school, please call reception on 01252 350 583 or email rec@st-josephs.hants.sch.uk to book a date in the diary. 

WAITING LISTS

Where there are more applicants than places available, a waiting list will operate for each year groiup according to our agreed Admissions Arrangements and without regard to the date the application was received or when a child's name was added to the waiting list.  Waiting lists will be reviewed in the Summer term of each Academic Year and parents will be contacted to see whether they wish for their child to remain on the waiting list.  Failure to confirm your child's position on the waiting list will result in  your child's removal from the list.

CONSULTATIONS

Consultation takes place with the following :

Parents of the school with children aged 2 to 11; All admission authorities with schools residing in Aldershot; The Local Authority; The Catholic Diocese of Portsmouth. (SAC 1.44)
