In line with our school’s vision we ensure that all children reach their potential. Throughout all lessons in all year groups formative assessment occurs. ‘In the moment’ monitoring in lessons means teaching is adapted to make sure all children progress.

Formative and summative assessments in all subjects provide the teacher with the opportunity to gauge the achievement of an individual child in relation to the relevant National Curriculum Programme of Study.

All assessments are measured against the end points that are outlined in the SOW.  The results from these assessments inform future planning and children’s learning, those that are identified as needing extra support as well as those needing further challenge.
